AIMSE is home to a unique blend of visionary and
programmatic leadership. Both the Founder and Executive
Director are living proof that by creating opportunities
through exposure and support, any and all youth can achieve
success.
Reginald G. Daniel, President and Founder
Reginald G. Daniel is president and founder and CEO of Scientific
and Engineering Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of Information
Technology solutions to the U.S. government. His remarkable
entrepreneurial and negotiation skills have enabled SES
to experience an average growth of 35% per year since its
inception in 1996. Under Mr. Daniel’s leadership,
SES has won more than $90 million in contracts delivering
unsurpassed quality and support to all of the company’s
clients. In formulating AIMSE, Mr. Daniel has found a way
to fulfill his commitment to broaden the opportunities of
America’s disadvantaged youth by increasing their
options for economic success. Mr. Daniel is dedicated to
providing necessary resources for the organization and will
be actively engaged in fostering partnerships among local
and state government agencies as well as the philanthropic
and private business community to secure commitments (financial
and otherwise) that will support the program’s sustainability
and expansion. Mr. Daniel does so with a devotion that begins
and ends with his belief that all youth have an inherent
ability to succeed and, given ample opportunity and support,
will realize their full potential.
Laurence E. Jackson, Ph.D., Executive Director
Dr. Laurence E. Jackson is a licensed clinical psychologist
with over 21 years of providing effective, quality services
to youth and their families. Prior to coming to AIMSE, he
served as Vice President of Maryland Operations at Progressive
Life Center (PLC) Inc., a private, non-profit human services
firm that has been a pioneer in cultural and spiritually-based
approaches to healing. Through his clinical and administrative
expertise, Dr. Jackson is credited with PLC’s continual
growth and success in the Maryland area, beginning in Prince
George’s County in 1990 and in Baltimore in 1993.
Under his leadership, PLC developed a variety of effective
programs that serve youth and families along a continuum
of need. The blending of Dr. Jackson’s expertise in
the areas of program and organizational development, team
building, and culturally competent counseling approaches
with his inherent belief and driving philosophy that all
youth can succeed ensures that AIMSE will positively impact
the lives of young people.
